On 5 May 2014 ‘DE ANTILLEN IN DE TWEEDE WERELDOORLOG’ has been published. The book tells the unknown, but fascinating story of the Second World war on and around the Antillean islands.
The book will show that the Antillean islands played a vital role in the war, by providing the Allied forces with the fuel they needed to fight the war and ultimately gain victory.
The book has 269 pages and contains eleven chapters and two annexes. It tells the story of the war years, the preparations, the fight, the wins and losses, the defence and the ultimate victory. And it tells the individual stories of the Antillean victims of WW2.
